Despite the rain and a bridge to the venue being blocked by a downed tree, the October Realtor Collective event was a huge success. Building off the successful inaugural Realtor Collective event in June, co-hosts Randy Dyck and Phil Hahn presented an exciting array of keynotes and helpful panel discussions for realtors from an array of brokerages.
Each event focuses on a different collaborative theme with an emphasis on practical takeaways. The October event’s focus was on dealing with economic uncertainty. There were lots of examples of ways how British Columbia’s realtors are finding success in spite of the challenging environment.
In one of the most practical takeaways, social media expert Ty Corsie (@soldbyty on Instagram) talked at length about leveraging your social media presence to close more deals, sharing practical tips realtors can implement immediately. Another speaker talked about commercial real estate deals his firm was able to close in spite of the difficult economic conditions.
One of the panels was a lively discussion around whether realtors should go it alone or work within a team. Another panel focused on how realtors are dealing with economic uncertainty in the current business environment. After the content was finished, the attendees enjoyed cocktails and networking with hundreds of their peers.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive with 100% of surveyed attendees planning to attend (and bring their team) to the next event.
